We have developed our video intercoms with the approach of a camera manufacturer: video quality first. Forget old style handsets and useless pushbuttons. Your new video intercom will be a simple hands-free touchscreen monitor in scratch-resistant glass, with a generous size of 7.9 or 10 inches. Extremely thin and stylish, without large frames and button panels, our DOMOTICAM monitors allow you perfect FullHD color video and blend perfectly into any decor.
Pushbuttons have been discontinued in our DOMOTICAM video intercoms. All commands, such as answering the call, opening the doors or setting the options are performed simply by touching the touchscreen. It's more intuitive than old style systems, with small screens in large frames full of buttons, and reduces the system failures.
You can choose between different types of vandal-proof aluminum call panels, with solid and essential design, and also code keypads. Each call panel can unlock the pedestrian door as well as a second door such as the driveway gate or garage. Many call panels also have an IC reader which allows you to open one or both locks by approaching the badge (5 badges included)
Our DOMOTICAM video intercoms are suitable for independent houses of 1 to 4 families. Each family can have from 1 to 6 monitors. You can install up to 4 external call panels, which are capable of activating up to 2 locks each. The system is completed with one or more 24VDC power adapter. An average system requires one power adaptor every 2 monitors.
All the elements of the system: monitor, call panels and power adapters are connected to each other with 2 wires only, without any central management unit. You can connect the devices as you like, either in series or star, creating branches of up to 150 meters (with 2x0.75 mm cable). There is no need to respect the +/- polarity, so it will be very easy to exploit any existing wiring. The monitors also come with built-in WiFI so each family can connect their own WiFi and control the video intercom via smartphone.
Despite being connected on just 2 wires, our system is absolutely a digital network where each element has its own IP address. However, we designed our system to self-configure itself. Unlike other products, you won't have to set up anything technical to make it work the way you want. Just connect the first monitor to the bus, then all further components, one at a time, and they will take an IP address automatically. Then use the touchscreen menu to assign monitors to each family. Nothing else is needed, no microswitches, no configuration via app or PC: 100% Plug&Play.

It's much better than relying on a single manufacturer's private app, which cannot offer you the same performance and flexibility.
Our Domoticam video intercoms are compatible with the Amazon Alexa and Google Home / Google Assistant voice control platforms. When a visitor rings the doorbell you will hear a voice alert on your devices. You don't have to configure anything, just install the Smartlife skill to manage your devices with your favourite voice assistants.
In a few easy steps
As you can see in the diagram, the 2 wires pair that connects the monitors with the call panels has no rules to respect. You can connect the elements in a row, one to the other, or freely create branches. It is not even necessary to respect the polarity of the two cables. A minimum section of 0.5 mmq is recommended up to 100 m. but you can even use a small twisted pair of a UTP cable, up to 30 meters. If you are replacing an old intercom you can setup your bus using the power cables from the old system and you won't have to run any new cable.
The electric lock of the pedestrian door is wired to the call panel with two wires (EXT2). Our call panels provide the 12VDC power supply necessary for opening the lock and can also connect an external opening button. Most call panels also have a second contact (NO/NC) for an additional door with separate power supply, which is normally used for a gate or garage door. If you need to control more than two doors, you can install a second pushbutton panel (max. 4).
You can connect the power adapter to any point of your circuit, preferably in a central area. A single power adapter (24VDC 3A) can power up to 6 monitors, or up to 3 monitors if you need to power the electric lock, which has a high consumption. If a single power adapter is not enough, you can install others, connecting them to the system's 2 wires pair as shown in the figure.
It is important to connect the components to the BUS one at a time, so that they can obtain their IP address correctly without creating conflicts. You will start with the main monitor: monitor 1 of family 1, then you will connect all the other monitors one at a time. Finally you will connect the pushbutton panels, starting with the one you want to be indicated as Door 1.

Our Domoticam video intercoms are completely Plug&Play. The only thing you must do is to enter the configuration of each monitor and assign the family and monitor number (e.g. family 1/monitor 1, family 1/monitor 2, family 2/monitor 1 etc.). The call panels have no configuration: button 1 calls family 1, button 2 calls family 2 etc.
To manage the video intercom from a mobile phone each family can connect its own main monitor to WiFi. In the monitor configuration you can search for your wifi network and enter the password. In the Tuya Smartlife app, just press the button to add your video intercom. You don't have to do anything else because Tuya's powerful servers take care of everything, providing safe, fast and reliable web access.
Thanks to the touchscreen, controlling all the functions of the video intercom is always easy and intuitive, even for elderly people. You can ANSWER A CALL and open doors and gates with a simple touch. In the absence of a visitor, you can monitor the system's call panels as you like and OPEN THE DOORS. You can also make INTERNAL CALLS, to communicate from one monitor to another monitor within your family.
Each monitor comes with a slot for microSD card to record visitor videos. In the PLAYBACK section you can search by date and check all calls. The video intercom also has a convenient ANSWERING MACHINE function that allows visitors to leave a video message in the event of no response. You can also activate the DO NOT DISTURB function if you want the visitor to be asked to leave a message without the internal ringtone being activated. With the Smartlife app you can even playback footage from your mobile phone.
The monitors of Domoticam video intercoms, in addition to standing out for their stylish design and video quality, are also useful when in stand-by mode. They can show the time and weather forecast, or they can display the slideshow of your favorite photos, that you load into the SD card memory. If you prefer, the monitor can also remain off and activate automatically only in the event of a call. You have several nice ringtones available or you can upload your favorite music as a custom ringtone.
Thanks to the innovative 2-wire connection, without polarity, which accepts any type of connection, replacing an old intercom is easy and there is no need of a single new wire. First, find the power supply unit of the old system: from there two power wires lead to the internal intercoms and to the call panel at the door. Install the new power adapter there and use the two power wires to connect the new monitors and call panel. Then check the old call panel at the door: you should find the cables that control the door openers that you can connect to the new call panel.
A Domoticam call panel allows you to connect one powered lock, one local door exit button and one relay for an external automation (gate/garage). If you need to open more doors or gates you can install additional call panels (up to 4). Sometime call panels could be also not shown to vistors, but installed in boxes. You can easily unlock all doors of all the call panels from any monitor and even via the app.

To create a video intercom system you first need an internal monitor, or more than one if you want to be able to answer the intercom from multiple points. If you have a house with many families you must have at least one monitor per family. Then you need a call panel on the door, which controls up to 2 openings. If you have multiple access, or more than two doors to unlock, you need further call panels. Finally, you need a power adapter for the system: a single power adapter is enough for 2 monitors and one call panel, if you have a larger system you have to buy more power adapters.
