The cameras in this range are AHD analog CCTV cameras in high resolution. With these cameras you can make a high-performance video surveillance system while maintaining the simplicity and dependability of traditional analog video. AHD cameras are the ideal solution for updating existing CCTV systems on coaxial cable and for creating new systems that are easy to install and maintain. This range of motorized PTZ cameras includes two product categories: PTZ cameras with coax control and PTZ cameras with RS485 control.
With the AHD (Analog High Definition) technology, the old analog video, at low resolution, has retired. Combined with AHD digital video recorders, these new generation cameras offer you all the megapixel resolution and remote control capabilities of our digital IP cameras, but in analog technology, fully compatible with all existing cabling. An AHD camera does not require configuration like an IP camera: it connects and works immediately. This is why we recommend these cameras if you want a robust and easy to install system, ideal for small systems. Below you can see a basic example of a small AHD system.
Almost all of our AHD cameras are actually 4 in 1, which means they can provide 4 types of video signal. The AHD signal is our main format for high resolution analog video. AHD is the most popular format worldwide and is an international standard that allows you
to use our AHD cameras with any brand of AHD DVR. CVI and TVI, also called TurboHD, are similar to AHD but used by other manufacturers. You may need these video formats if you connect our cameras to other DVRs. CVBS is the old analog, low resolution video. You have to switch the camera to CVBS mode if you want to connect to analog monitors or old DVRs.
You can switch the video signal of the cameras by yourself, but you can also specify the video format you like while placing your order.
The cameras in this series always guarantee you the highest video quality in relation to your budget. You can choose among 1MP, 2MP and 5MP resolution models. The 2MP resolution, also called 1080P or Full HD (1920x1080 pixels), is the current standard of high resolution digital TV and meets the needs of most security systems. If you can spend a slightly higher budget, consider our 5 MP models, which provide more details while zooming-in. You can buy the low cost models, at 1MP (HD 720P 1280x720 pixels), if your DVR does not support higher resolutions, or if you are thinking to switch the camera to traditional analog CVBS. When designing your system, you can mix cameras with different resolutions based on the importance of the monitored area. Here you can download short demo movies in the most common resolutions.
ATTENTION : Our RK Series DVR support all kind of analog cameras up to 8MP (4K) on all channels, but if you already have a DVR please check the maximum supported resolution before buying .
All cameras in this range have 2 connectors: BNC plug for video and DC plug for 12VDC power. The connectors are placed at the end of a cable of about 70 cm. which protrudes from the back of the camera. This cable is useful to reach a junction box where connections must be kept protected from the rain. You can supply 12V power with an adapter near the camera or with a central power supply unit. Choose in our range of power adapters the most suitable solution for your system. You can transfer the video signal with coaxial cables. Alternatively, you can use UTP network cable with small converters called balun. These waterproof cameras do not have a built-in microphone. If you need audio you can use a stand-alone microphone.
Analogue motorized cameras can be controlled with a DVR or a PTZ keypad. All the models in this range can be controlled by a RS485 BUS , that is an additional twisted pair. If you control the camera via RS485 you must use the Pelco-D protocol, which is the reference standard for these communications. Our advanced PTZ models also support command via UTC, along the video cable. Thanks to UTC, also called COC, our RK Series DVR control PTZ cameras without additional cables besides power and video, like a fixed camera.
To be able to work in total darkness, these cameras are equipped with infrared LEDs that provide invisible night illumination up to 120 METERS, depending on the models. Thanks to Smart IR technology, the power of the LEDs adapts to the distance of the subject avoiding overexposure in close-up shots. The cameras in this range are equipped with high performance 42µ Superflux LEDs which provide high lighting power while maintaining relatively low energy consumption. The LEDs turn on by themselves below 10 lux. In night mode the camera shoots in Black White thanks to a mechanical removal mechanism of the IR filter (ICR). If you want, you can set the cameras to full color, excluding infrared mode.
These PTZ cameras are equipped with a motor zoom lens that you can control remotely. You will find in this range 2 types of zoom with 10x and 20x optical magnification. These lenses come with autofocus to automatically focus on subjects at any distance. Pay close attention if you find on the web speed dome cameras with power zoom at low price, because many low profile manufacturers use to overlay false magnification values, higher then the real optical zoom of the camera.
Our AHD PTZ cameras come with a full pack of advanced features. A user friendly On Screen Display, allows you to set the options so as to adapt the camera to your needs. You can adjust the image and rotate it, with the MIRROR functions, in order to suit the area to be monitored. The WIDE DYNAMIC RANGE (WDR) function is useful if you shoot bright areas together with darker areas. With the BLC you can enhance subject on a bright background. The DIGITAL NOISE REDUCTION functions allow you to improve shooting in difficult conditions with poor visibility.
All the cameras in this range are waterproof, with IP67 degree of protection. You can mount them indoor or outdoor, exposed to the rain. We do not use cheap plastic casings for our PTZ cameras, but only strong, die-casted, aluminum enclosures, fire-painted. All the cameras in this range come with Black Glass front covers which increase the efficiency of LEDs (about 8% more than normal glass) and reduce the attraction of insects at night.
The cameras in this range are all motorized and remote controllable. Dome cameras rotate horizontally at 360° (PAN) and vertically at 180° (TILT). During tilt moving, they are equipped with AUTOFLIP to provide straight video even over 90° of rotation, beyond the vertical axis. The bullet PTZ, rotate enough to cover the are in front of the camera. The full-metal rotor mechanism ensures high precision in positioning. The high speed dome models can rotate very quickly from one point to another at 200°/sec. The mini speed dome models at 60°/sec. Finally, the bullet cameras rotate more slowly, at 12 or 30 ° sec.
All our speed dome cameras in this range can perform automatic moves. You can set 256 PRESET to quickly recall specific positions and 3 CRUISE to monitor a sequence of several presets. With the SCAN function you can monitor large areas by keeping the camera in constant rotation. You can also set a home automatic action, also called IDLE, that the camera performs automatically in the absence of operator commands.
These PTZ cameras are supplied with a wall mount bracket . There are also several mounting accessories that you can buy separately. The ceiling mount bracket must be purchased if you wish to hang the camera. The pole collar, with steel clamps and the corner mounting base are available for big speed dome only, but can be easily adapted to mini speed dome cameras by drilling the plate..SPEED DOME ACCESSORIES
These AHD cameras are designed to be connected to a digital video recorder, also called DVR, which has the task of digitizing the video signals of the analog cameras and recording videos on the Hard Disk. With the video recorder you can perform all the digital functions of IP systems, like remote control via Internet or intrusion detection with motion alarm. The cameras in this range are compatible with all DVRs on the market, but it is preferable that your DVR supports the maximum resolution of the camera. Our most advanced motorized cameras contain a UTC chip that allows you to control movements without the need for a control cable, but directly by sending commands along the video cable. It is a very convenient function because it allows you to install a motorized AHD camera with the same wiring as a fixed one (Video and power supply). With UTC control you can also change the internal camera options, as you do with IP cameras. To be able to control the menu of the camera remotely you need a DVR that supports the UTC COC protocol, like ours RK Series DVR.
You can control the movements of our motorized AHD cameras through the DVR, acting locally, with the mouse, or even via the web, with a PC or mobile phone. If you need a stand-alone control station with a joystick, you can buy one of our PTZ RS485 control keypad . You can connect several control units to the same cameras, such as a DVR and a keyboard, and use the one you prefer depending on the situation.
