These POE video surveillance kits are made up of an NVR, the video recorder, and IP cameras. Each camera must be connected to the NVR with a network cable. Network cables are not included and you can buy them separately, of the length you prefer (max. 100 m.). On the back of the NVR you will find 4 or 8 POE network ports to which you connect the cameras. These POE kits are ideal for protecting premises which are not suitable for our WiFi wireless kits , because of long distance or thick walls. Our hard-wired CCTV kits are designed to be installed by anyone in minutes. They require no technical knowledge and are ready to work as soon as installed, with no settings to adjust. You only need to connect the cameras to the NVR with a network cable. As a monitor you can use a TV set (HDMI) or a computer monitor (VGA). All instructions and menus are provided. With our RKK POE kits you are free to set up and manage your video surveillance as you like. These are in fact true ONVIF professional IP systems, compatible with all kind of network cameras. If you want to add cameras to your system you can buy additional kit cameras at any time. You can also order our other POE cameras, such as PTZ cameras, and use them instead of the standard ones. If you want, you can even add ONVIF IP cameras of any brand to your kit. The NVRs of 1 to 4 cameras kits come with 4 POE ports for the cameras, while the NVRs of the 5 to 8 cameras kits have 8 POE ports. Our RKK wired kits are really simple to use, but as powerful as our best professional IP systems. You can choose between kits with a video resolution of 2MP and 5MP. The 2MP resolution, also called 1080P or Full HD (1920x1080 pixel), is the current standard of digital, high resolution, broadcast TV and satisfies the needs of the majority of security systems. The POE kits in this range support the latest H265 and H264 video compression formats, including the latest advanced versions, to get the highest performance out of any camera. H265 is the most efficient codec available today and allows these Kits to store almost twice video storage than H264 NVRs. All IP cameras of these kits support H265 to record high quality video stream with the minimum bandwidth requirement. The 5MP kits, in addition to providing higher video definition, are supplied with STARLIGHT cameras that are equipped with the back-lit CMOS sensor SONY STARVIS™, for low illumination. The Starlight cameras are designed to allow color video even at night, taking advantage of every tiny light source, such as street lights or outdoor spots.
You can buy your IP products from us with confidence. DSE is one of the few companies in Italy that is a member of the international association ONVIF, which includes all the main IP security manufacturers and set the standard of communication protocol in this field. Unlike other kits, our RKK kits, support the ONVIF standard, just like our best hard-wired IP systems. If your kit has free channels you are free to add manually any of our IP cameras, of any series, or even other brands of Onvif IP cameras.
The cameras of these kits can be installed in few seconds. Just connect the cameras to the NVR: that's it. You can install the cameras outdoors, even under the rain, because they are completely waterproof (IP67), but you can also use them indoors thanks to their stylish design and small size. These cameras come with 3.6 mm. wide-angle lens and a built-in infrared illuminator which makes it possible to monitor in the dark up to 30 m. They are easy to install, thanks to the swivel bracket and can be mounted to both ceiling or walls. The cameras in these kits all have black front glass , which reduces the attraction of night bugs, and QuickLock antitampering, single screw, bracket.
The cameras in these kits support the POE power that comes from the NVR via the network cable (IEEE 802.3af Class 3). To make them work you just have to connect them to an NVR port, with a network cable that you can purchase separately of the length you prefer. This type of power supply allows you to use cables with a length of up to 100 meters under normal conditions. If for some reason you cannot connect the camera to the NVR and prefer to connect it to your external network, the cameras also have a local power plug to which you can connect a 12VDC power adapter. In the picture you can see the connection cable coming out of the camera, with the RJ45 network connector and the 12V auxiliary power connector, which normally remains unused.
This junction box is designed to make the installation of the camera easier. You can buy it as an optional accessory. This box is used to hold the camera's connectors avoiding any external wiring. The box is IP65 watertight and is therefore ideal for outdoor installations as it protects the cables from humidity. The lid of the junction box comes with 4 screw-holes for the camera. This junction box is compatible with all cameras of this kit.
No special monitors are used in video surveillance anymore. The NVRs in these kits have an HDMI port for the connection of a TV sets or computer monitor with FullHD 1080P resolution.
In addition to the HDMI port there is also a VGA port for the connection of a PC monitor up to 2MP 1080P.
These NVRs no longer have a low resolution BNC analog video output. If you need it, you can use a VGA / BNC converter.
Remember that the HDMI video signal is rather sensitive. If you need to split or transport it use our HDMI splitter and transmitters.
Our kits record videos on the base of the setting you choose. You can record all the time, or just for some hours during the week, or even just in case of intrusion (motion detection). You can easily search your video footage and export them on USB pen drives or computers to provide them to police or other authorities.
These wifi kits store video files on one internal hard disk. They can record continuously or only in case of intrusion. The NVRs come without any Hard Disk to let you choose the best disk size according to the required storage capacity. You can use any brand of SATA hard disk up to 8TB capacity. Even ordinary computer hard disks work well, but for longer durability special Hard Disks for video surveillance, such as those in our catalog, are recommended. If you order one of our hard disk, together with the POE kit, you will receive it installed and formatted, ready to use.
The RKK kits record on their own internal hard disk until the memory is full, after that the new files overwrite the old ones. To suit any local privacy regulation it is possible to limit the video storage to a specific number of days. It is also possible to set privacy masks to exclude sensitive areas from surveillance for privacy matters.
Thanks to the search functions, it is easy to find the important events in the video archive, scrolling through the timeline. You can easily export video footages to be delivered to law enforcement. This backup operation can be done online with a computer, or by plugging-in a USB pendrive into the USB port of the NVR. Video files are exported in a standard AVI format and can be played with common video players such as VLC.
The NVRs of these kits are packed with features but yet easy to use and configure with the on-screen menu. These NVRs do not have buttons on the front panel, because all operations can be done with the supplied mouse. You can WATCH the live video of all the cameras on the screen and CONTROL external PTZ cameras. You can CHOOSE among several display modes and ZOOM IN by dragging the mouse. The OSD menu allows you to CONFIGURE all NVR options and PLAY BACK the recorded videos, searching by date and time. You can also EXPORT AND DOWNLOAD video files on USB pen drives in AVI format.
Every computer on the network is a perfect monitor for your Kit. No software needs to be installed. Just open the Internet Explorer browser and enter the login password to WATCH the live video of all the cameras on the screen. You can RECORD , take snapshots and ZOOM IN by dragging the mouse. A user-friendly menu allows you to CONFIGURE all the options of the NVR from a computer and PLAY BACK video footage searching by date and time. You can also DOWNLOAD the video files on your computer in AVI format.
IOVEDO.RK - MONITORING SOFTWARE
Our free IoVedo.RK software allows you to monitor via computer all our RK Series cameras, NVRs, DVRs and kits. You can use our software in your local network, by calling the IP of the device, or via the Internet, by entering the serial number supported by our CLOUD P2P SERVER.
You can WATCH LIVE up to 64 cameras, setting CUSTOM LAYOUTS to receive videos from many remote devices. You can PLAYBACK the footage recorded in the device memory and DOWNLOAD the video files. You can also control your PTZ cameras.
Like all our systems, the IoVedo.RK software supports the ONVIF protocol, so you can also use it to monitor ANY OTHER ONVIF CAMERAS you already have in your system.
With our free DSE APP for Android and iOS, you can control your cameras with a mobile phone or tablet. You can use the app over your own wifi network, by typing the IP address of the NVR, but also via the Internet, typing in your CLOUD ID. You can WATCH up to 16 cameras live on the screen. You can RECORD , take snapshots and ZOOM IN with the classic two-finger gesture. You can also PLAY BACK online videos recorded on the NVR's memory, searching by date and time. If you enable motion detection, you can RECEIVE push notifications on your mobile phone if an intrusion occurs, with a snapshot of the event.
Thanks to our free P2P cloud server, Online 24/7, you can immediately connect to your NVR through the Internet without worrying about static IP, DDNS, port forwarding the router and other difficult configurations. Every NVR come with an ID code, already registered on our reliable P2P server. You just have to create an account on the server and upload the ID of your NVR. You can do it straight with your mobile phone, by simply scanning the QR code you find on the product. Our P2P connection works 100% with any ISP, even radio, satellite o 4G.
If you want to video record the IP cameras of your network on a computer, you can download our free VMS software that supports all our IP cameras and also Onvif IP cameras from other manufacturers. You can install it on as many computers as you want and use it freely, both as a main videorecorder and as an additional control station. These kits allow you to send out notifications in case of an alarm. You can send messages via EMAIL with the picture of the event as well as push image NOTIFICATIONS to mobile phones with our IoVedo.RK app. You can also upload video files to FTP web servers. When you receive an alarm notification you should connect right away to your video surveillance system to check what is going on.
The systems store video files on an internal hard disk. In addition, you can also save motion detection videos, on external cloud servers via the web. These NVRs support Google and Dropbox cloud services. Web cloud saving is useful to keep the videos safe in case the NVR got stolen or damaged. To use cloud storage, you need to buy a cloud folder from one of these providers and then bind your NVR by entering the connection details. Do not confuse cloud storage with our P2P cloud server for easy web operation: they are two different things.
These POE Kits are part of our RK Series, which also includes IP cameras, WiFi cameras, NVR and DVR. All the products in this range use the same graphics, software and apps. Our RK Series is developed for the residential market and is designed to guarantee the best value for money. Nevertheless these are professional systems where we use the best CMOS and Chipset on the market to ensure high quality video. Don't compare our RK series to the entry level solutions of other manufacturers where the cheapest components are used to sell at the lowest price. Always check the datasheets to know the sensor and chipset used as well as recording and playback performance. If these data are not declared, ask to know more.
Although these kits can work well even locally, you will have great benefits from connecting it to the Internet. It's an easy operation with our app and it lets you control your cameras over the Internet, wherever you are. If you have an ADSL or Fiber Internet connection, you must connect your video surveillance network to a router port. If you do not have a wired Internet access, you can also use a 4G router with a data SIM to create a mobile Internet connection. Our P2P server allows you to connect via the web without any configuration with any type of provider, even via 4G, radio or satellite.
The cameras of these kits connect via cable to the POE ports of the NVR. If you have difficulty reaching the position you want via cable, you can connect the camera to your home network and add it to the kit as an external camera. You can do the same by purchasing separate wifi cameras to connect to your wireless home network. All the NVRs in this range can handle up to 9 cameras, between internal and external, with resolution up to 5MP, also with audio and PTZ. Only our RKK kits offer a similar possibility of customization that allows you to design your very personal CCTV kit without limits. In this example, look at an NVR that manages a camera from the POE kit, connected by cable, and two wifi cameras connected to the local wifi network.
To install these kits you need to connect the cameras to the NVR with a network cable. Our kits are supplied without network cables so you can buy the cable lengths that are most suitable for your application. Among our cables you will find everything you need. The best choice for a plug & play installation is to purchase our convenient CAT5E patch cords, available from 5 to 30 meters. For longer distances, or to run the cables in small pipes, you can buy our CAT5E cable coils, which you can cut to your needs, and the RJ45 network connectors, to be crimped to the cable with the special clamp.
If you already have some Onvif IP cameras installed at home you don't need to replace them. You can add it to your new kit by connecting it to a POE port or as a camera on an external network. It is an easy operation to perform in the video recorder menu, where you manage the video channels of the kit. Once the camera has been added, you can control it locally and remotely, along with the other cameras of the kit, without any limitation. With our POE kits you are free to use any IP onvif camera and you are not tied to a single brand, like in almost all similar products on the market.

The NVRs are compatible with all SATA hard disks up to the maximum size of 8TB. If you order one of our NVR-specific Hard Drives together with the kit, we will deliver it already installed and ready to use. The size of the Hard Disk determines the capacity of the video archive that you can keep in memory. Hard disks of 1 or 2 TB are normally enough for most applications.
Also the NETWORK CABLES for the connection of cameras are not included in the kit.
