How many times, after an accident, you failed to prove you were right? How many times have you found your car scratched in a parking area? These are just two examples of unpleasant situations that we have all experienced at least once. If you want to protect yourself against these inconveniences in the future, the best thing is to buy one of our car dash cameras.
Easy to use and install, our dash cams record everything that happens while driving, providing valuable videos in the event of an accident. In PARKING mode, they monitor your car while you are away, providing clear evidence in the event of crash or vandalism.
Our dash cams mount next to the rearview mirror and adhere firmly to the front window thanks to adhesive mount or suction cup . A mirror dashcam is also available which mounts right over the rearview mirror by means of 2 rubber fasteners . You can install the dashcam to the left of the mirror, towards the driver, but better on the passenger side, in order not to reduce visibility while driving..
These car cameras are super easy to use. They automatically turn on with the vehicle and record everything that happens around it. In our range you will find dash cams equipped with 1,2 or 3 cameras. The main camera is the front camera (A) which has the highest resolution. Many models are also equipped with a rear view camera (B) to be wired on the back side. Finally, some models also have a third camera that monitors the interior (C) of the vehicle.
Our dashcam camera range includes differente video resolution in order to meet any budget. The standard resolution is 2MP FullHD (1920x1080 pixels), which is the current standard of high-resolution digital providing clear video of road and vehicles. At the beginning of this page you can watch two FullHD video samples taken with our cameras. If you are looking for the best video quality, you can also choose our 4K dash cams, which record video at 8MP (3840x2160). Our entry-level dashcams, rated VGA (640x480 pixels)
provide FullHD video but come with a lower resolution cmos sensor. These cost effective VGA cameras provide basic video quality, clear enough to prove what has happened. These cameras come with wide angle fish-eye lenses that privides 140°coverage. Thanks to the wide viewing angle, our dash cams perfectly monitor everything that happens around the vehicle.
These cameras also record the audio inside the vehicle, thanks to the built-in high-sensitivity microphone. All camera lenses can be easily oriented to obtain the best view according to the installation position.
Many of our dash cams are equipped with an external rear view camera. This camera is normally positioned inside the vehicle, in the center of the rear window (A) to monitor backward. If you prefer, you can also have it mounted outside, near the car plate (B), because it is fully waterproof. The included connection cable for the rear camera is very small size, easy to be hidden under the side seals of the vehicle.
These car cameras have a built-in monitor that allows you to control the features and even playback recorded footage. Our dashcam range includes monitors of all sizes, from 2.3" up to 12" touchscreen of the mirror version, which replaces the rear view mirror of the car. Small overlay icons allow you to understand at a glance the status of the camera and the functions you have activated. During normal operation, the screen turns off automatically so as not to annoy the driver.
These black box cameras record videos on a removable Micro SD memory. Micro SD card is not included . To use these cameras you need to buy a micro SD card of the maximum capacity supported by the camera. These cameras record H264 video and allows a video storage of several hours (see Technical Data at the bottom of this page). When the memory is full, the oldest files are automatically overwritten. The video files recorded on the occasion of anomalous events, or that you have manually locked, are protected from overwriting.
You can play back the recorded videos directly on the camera LCD. Dashcam with wifi also allow you to play and download videos via smartphone. At home, you can connect the camera to a computer with a USB cable, or take the SD card out of the device and insert it into a PC SD card reader. You can play the video files with free players, such as VLC.
A few black box dash cams in this range come with a built-in GPS tracker that stores the position of the vehicle along with each video frame. When you download a movie on your smartphone or PC you can check the exact route of your vehicle on the street map, alongside the video. This function provides important evidence because it makes the action clear if an accident occurs.
Usually you will program your camera to record continuously. Once the memory is full, it will overwrite the oldest files. To prevent important videos from being erased, the camera is equipped with a collision sensor ( G-SENSOR) with adjustable sensitivity. In the event of an accident, the video file is automatically protected against overwriting and saved in a separate folder for easy tracing. There is also a camera button that you can press at any time to manually protect an important video footage from overwriting.
If you power the dashcam when the vehicle is off, you can monitor your car while parking, using differente recording modes.
All models can monitor in CONTINUOUS RECORDING mode.
Some models support the MOTION DETECTION mode where the camera only records if there is movement in front of the front lens. If the place where you leave the car is not very busy, you can use this function to avoid wasting precious memory space by recording irrelevant scenes.
Some models also support recording in TIME LAPSE mode, where the camera records one picture per second in order to ensure continuous monitoring and long video storage.
With our dash cams you can protect your car while parking even if the camera is off, using the PARKING mode . In this mode, the camera remains off and is activated automatically only when a bump on the vehicle is detected. You can set the sensitivity of the shock sensor to detect even light impacts. Thanks to this function, your car is protected even when you are away. If your vehicle was hit while you were not present, you will find a video that shows you what happened.
The easiest way to install our dash cams is by means of the included cigarette lighter cable. The cable included in the package is long enough to reach the lighter running around the windshield. If your car lighter supplies power only when the engine is turned on , as in most cases, the dashcam turns on and off automatically with the vehicle (1). If your car lighter supplies current continuously , you will have to turn the camera on and off manually (2).
(1) In this scenario you can use your dashcam during parking only selecting the parking mode (shock detection)
(2) In this scenario you can use your dashcam during parking in all operating modes, like continuous, motion or time lapse recording as well as parking mode (shock detection).
If you want to install your dashcam permanently, you should connect it to the vehicle's fuse box. You can easily do it yourself, with our dashcam installation kits which contain everything you need. Our installation kits are available as a separate accessory in the miniusb and microusb version, depending on the dashcam model. It consists of a connection cable with transformer and voltage drop unit. The voltage drop box is a safety device that automatically disconnects the dashcam before the vehicle battery runs out. The dashcam installation kit includes the fuse splitters to connect the cables to the fuse holders. If you connect your dashcam to a live fuse when engine on the camera turns on and off automatically with the vehicle (1). If you connect to a fuse that is constantly powered, you will have to turn the camera on and off manually (2).
(1) In this scenario you can use your dashcam during parking only selecting the parking mode (shock detection)
(2) In this scenario you can use your dashcam during parking in all operating modes, like continuous, motion or time lapse recording as well as parking mode (shock detection).
Our dashcam installation kit (optional) come with 3 terminals to the fuse box. It includes a few 2-ways fuse splitters to easily match the fusebox as shown in the figure (A = insert into the fuse box; B = to the dashcam; C = original fuse).
The GND terminal of the installation kit must be connected to a ground screw, well fixed to the chassis of the vehicle. The BAT terminal must be connected to a fuse holder that supplies voltage constantly or when the ignition is on, as explained in the previous chapter.
Some cameras in our range also accept the dual power supply: continuous (BAT) and only with the ignition on (ACC). These dashcams are the most convenient to use, because they start and stop automatically with the vehicle still providing the possibility of using the camera during parking in all recording modes.
If you buy one of our dashcam with the installation kit, you can have everything installed on your vehicle by an electrician or body repairer. However, you can also install the camera yourself, making a perfect DIY installation. Here you can watch our tutorial that shows how to install a dashcam on a Kia Picanto. This tutorial covers all the installation steps, from connecting the dashcam to the fuse box to wiring the rear view camera.
Some of the dash cams in this range are equipped with a Wi-Fi transmitter that allows you to control the camera from a smartphone. You can connect directly to the Wi-Fi hot-spot generated by the camera and watch the videos on your smartphone within 10-15 meters of distance. With our free APP for Android and iOS, you can fully control the camera with a mobile phone or tablet. You can CONFIGURE the camera options and WATCH the live video to check the angle of view. You can RECORD and take snapshots. You can also PLAY BACK AND DOWNLOAD the video files stored in the camera, searching by date and time.
One of the best-sellers in our range of car cameras is the rearview mirror dashcam. This model mounts over the original mirror and features a large 12 "touchscreen that shows the rear view camera. In addition to its recording functions, this camera gives you much better rear view than any traditional mirror, uneffected by obstacles placed on the back seats.
To install your dashcam you must connect it to the lighter, with the cable provided, or to the fuse box, with the optional installation kit. Several models also include a rear view camera to be placed in the back of the cabin. The cables we supply are thin and flexible, and with a little patience you can easily route them under the window seals and over the doors.
In a few minutes your Do-It-Yourself installation will be finished, perfectly integrated into the original aesthetics of your vehicle. Watch how to install our dashcam on a Kia Picanto in this TUTORIAL
You can get our dash cams up and running on your own in a few minutes, however, if you want a "turnkey" service you can contact any auto electrician to have your new dashcam professionally installed. It is a quick and inexpensive job. The help of a professional can be useful if you want to install the rear view camera on the outside of the vehicle, near the license plate, so that it is also helpful for parking. If you choose to have your dashcam installed by an electrician, don't forget to order the optional installation kit.
