The cameras in this range are network digital cameras, also called IP cameras. With these cameras you can create a fully digital video surveillance system that works over a network. Each camera has a LAN port and an IP address, that you can set just like you do with computers or other network devices. You can monitor your cameras with PC, smartphone, tablet or you can consider to purchase a network video recorder (NVR) to comfortably manage many cameras.
Compared to traditional analog technology (nowadays AHD), IP technology offers many advantages and is therefore increasingly used in CCTV systems of any size. The main advantage of IP cameras lies in the network cabling that can be branched out with switches and allows you to connect many cameras with just one cable. You can also use wireless Wi-Fi cameras to reach places that are not easy to wire. In addition, unlike analog cameras, IP cameras produce a digital video stream that is ready to be stored. For this reason NVR video recorders are efficient and inexpensive even when they have to manage high resolution cameras. If you understand Italian, have a look at our tutorials on the side to know more. See below an example of a small IP CCTV system.
The cameras in this RK series allow you to choose the best video quality in relation to your budget. You can choose among 2MP, 4-5MP and 8MP resolution cameras. 2MP video resolution, also called 1080P or Full HD (1920x1080 pixels), is the current standard of high resolution digital TV and meets the needs of most security systems. If you can afford a slightly higher budget, consider our 4 or 5 MP cameras, which provide more details while zooming-in. This range also includes 8MP (4K) cameras that you can consider for critical areas that requires the highest definition of tiny details. When designing your system you can mix different resolution cameras based on the importance of the area to monitor. Compare the most common video resolution watching our demo videos.
Onvif is the international association that brings together the main manufacturers of IP cameras and define standardized interfaces for interoperability of IP-based security products. Buying from us, you first have the guarantee of choosing one of the few companies in Italy that are part of the association. Besides, you are buying from the only Italian manufacturer that produces ONVIF certified IP cameras. All the cameras in this range are included in the official "Onvif Conformant" product list , having successfully passed all compliance tests of the Onvif Profile S standard.
If you are looking for your next IP camera supplier, be sure to choose a member of Onvif and check on the association's website if the products are certified. Do not buy non-certified products because you would have no guarantee to receive a universally compatible device.
The cameras in this range support H264 H265 video compression, including the latest upgrades, in order to combine high quality video stream and low bandwidth consumption. These cameras can manage 3 VIDEO STREAMING with different compression and resolution, that you can choose from the client device. The frame rate is also adjustable up to 30 frames / second (real-time). Choose the well-established H264 format for maximum compatibility with all NVRs, or use the latest H265 to increase the video storage capacity. Here on the side you can download two similar clips in H264 and H265 format: please note the different file size.
All cameras in this range support POE power via the network cable (IEEE 802.3af Class 3). To make them work, all you have to do is connect one POE switch or a POE NVR using standard, 8 cores, UTP cable. This type of power supply supports up to 100 meters cabling in normal conditions. If for some reason you can not use POE power, all cameras also have a local power jack that you can connect to a 12VDC adapter. In the picture you can see the connection cable coming out of the camera, with the RJ45 network plug and the 12V auxiliary power connector.
In order to monitor in the dark, these cameras come with LED illuminators that turn on automatically and monitor up to 30 or 60 METERS. There are 3 types of LEDs: Infrared (IR), White and Dual LEDs. The IR LEDs allow clear Black/White view in the dark while maintaining the environment dark, as infrared light is not visible to the human eye. The WHITE LEDs illuminate with visible light, like a spotlight, allowing full color night view. With DUAL LED you can set white or IR illumination and you also have the SMART option (IR lighting that turns to white light in case of human detection).
This range of cameras include several models called STARLIGHT, based on the backlit CMOS sensors SONY STARVIS™ for low light. Starlight cameras provide decent color image with very low environment light. These are excellent cameras for night-time monitoring of large outdoor areas, too large to be artificially illuminated with LEDs. If you want to use the Starlight mode you should disable the LEDs in the camera configuration.
The RK Series IP cameras come with a full pack of advanced features. With an Internet browser you can set the options as you like so as to adapt the camera to your needs. You can adjust the image and rotate it, with the MIRROR and CORRIDOR functions, in order to suit to the area to be monitored. The WIDE DYNAMIC RANGE (WDR) function is useful if you shoot bright areas together with darker areas. With the BLC you can enhance subject on a bright background. The ANTIFOG and DIGITAL NOISE REDUCTION functions allow you to improve shooting in difficult conditions with poor visibility.
All cameras in this range can generate alarms and perform actions such as recording, sending emails, uploading files via FTP, notify cell phones etc. With the MOTION DETECTION you can detect intrusions in the camera's field of view. With the TAMPER DETECTION you can detect if the camera was blinded. You can enable or disable these features based on a week scheduler. The PRIVACY masks are used to obscure parts of the video in order to respect other people privacy.
All cameras in this range come with Artificial Intelligence and HUMAN DETECTION. Human detection is much better than normal motion detection because it does not simply trigger on the base of pixel modification, but only when the intruder is a human being. Thanks to human detection, these cameras do not detect animals, or objects moved by the wind, but only real people providing secure and reliable detections. The human detection algorithm is not only detecting the face of the intruders, but also the shape of the body and human moves. This allows these cameras to detect intruders wearing masks. In the event of human detection you can send email, FTP and push notifications. You can even switch a local output, if the camera has one. Some cameras in this range also supports VEHICLE DETECTION, useful to prevent unauthorized access or parking.
These RK series cameras include advanced digital video analysis features that allows you to detect unusual situations that occur within the camera's field of view. This Intelligent Video Analysis function, is a high-tech feature, designed for advanced security systems, however it can be also very useful for ordinary CCTV systems, to detect suspicious actions. Several kinds of detection are available to suit the security need of shops, companies and public monitoring. Each of these video analysis functions detect only human presence and can be enabled-disabled according to the time of the day. When a suspicious event is detected, the cameras start recording, activate alarm output for local warning, and send out email, notifications or FTP upload.
In this range of IP cameras most models include audio. Many cameras come with built-in mic which is very convenient not requiring any additional wiring. Other cameras come with an AUDIO INPUT to which you can connect an external microphone. An external microphone can be placed even away from the camera. The external microphone should be powered at 12VDC with a local adapter. Alternatively you can use a POE splitter with a DC splitter cable, which you can find among our connectors.
All RK cameras are water-proof, with IP67 protection degree. You can install them both inside or outside exposed to rain. We use robust die-cast, fire painted, aluminum casing for all these cameras but we also have a few small cameras in ABS. You can use these cameras anywhere, without worrying about extreme temperature or corrosion. All the cameras in this range come with Black Glass front covers which protects the lens from refraction of the IR light.
This range includes bullet and dome cameras. Both types can be mounted on the wall or ceiling and can be easily oriented in all directions. All bullet cameras come with the innovative QuickLock bracket, a remarkable step forward compared to our previous systems. Thanks to its innovative steel grooved ball (A) the QuickLock bracket rotates in all directions, but when you tighten the retaining screw (B), it locks solidly preventing the camera from tampering. In all models the connection cable protrudes from the camera base in order to protect the wiring.
To make the installation of the cameras easier, we developed a range of mounting bases that you can buy as an optional accessory. Our WATERPROOF JUNCTION BOXES are ideal to protect the terminals from water and wearing. They come with holes on the front cover for the camera. A WALL MOUNTING BRACKET is available for dome cameras if you like the "lampost" style mounting. Should you install the camera on poles, an additional POLE MOUNTING COLLAR, suitable for all our boxes, is also available.
MOUNTING ACCESSORIESIn this range of IP cameras you will find models with fixed lens and models with adjustable focal length. Adjustable lenses, also called varifocal, allow you to adjust the angle of view of the camera. Small cameras for short distance come with FIXED LENS 3.6 or 2.8 mm. These cameras provide a wide-angle view, between 80 and 90°, which is optimal for short distance. All other models in this range have ADJUSTABLE LENS from 2.8 to 12 mm or from 2.7 to 13.5 mm. With these cameras you can adjust the angle of view from wide angle (about 80-90°) to zoom (about 20°).
Most of our cameras come with ADJUSTABLE VARIFOCAL LENS. In some cameras, the lens is a manual lend that can be ajusted by turning 2 waterproof screws which allow you to adjust zoom and focus. The MOTOR ZOOM models, with motorized lens, allow you to adjust the lens from remote, by computer, app or NVR. These motorized versions also include AUTOFOCUS so they do not require any manual adjustment, saving a lot of time for installation. We recommend these zoom models if you install cameras in hard-to-reach locations.
Every computer on the network is a perfect monitor for your IP cameras. No software needs to be installed. Just use your favourite browser and enter the login password. All browers are supported, thanks to the new no-plugin access function. You can WATCH live video, RECORD , take snapshots and ZOOM-IN by dragging the mouse. A user friendly menu, available in many languages, allows you to SET all system options. You can also PLAYBACK the videos which have been recorded in the camera memory, searching date and time over the timeline. The cameras in this range also support the RTSP protocol, which allows you to watch live video with ordinary players such as VLC.
