The cameras in this range are network digital cameras, also called IP cameras. With these cameras you can create a fully digital video surveillance system that works over a LAN network. Each camera has a LAN port and an IP address, that you can set just like you do with computers or other network devices. You can monitor your cameras with a PC or you can consider to purchase a network video recorder (NVR) to comfortably manage many cameras. This RH PRO range is designed for top notch systems that require maximum hardware and software performance.
Compared to traditional analog technology (nowadays AHD), IP technology offers many advantages and is therefore increasingly used in CCTV systems of any size. The main advantage of IP cameras lies in the network cabling that can be branched out with switches and allows you to connect many cameras with just one single cable. Another benefit of IP CCTV is the WiFi support. You can use wireless Wi-Fi cameras to reach places that are not easy to wire. Furthermore, with IP cameras you can connect video, power supply, audio and PTZ controls with a single cable, with no need of additional wiring. Unlike analog cameras, IP cameras produce a digital video stream that is ready to be stored. For this reason NVR video recorders are efficient and inexpensive even when they have to manage high resolution cameras, over 2MP.
See below an example of a small IP CCTV system.
The RH Series IP cameras are our professional IP range for the high-end market. Compared to our IP cameras for residential and commercial markets, these RH Series come with comprehensive hardware setup and advanced video analysis functions. They are ideal in industrial systems and in complex projects where interaction with external systems and dedicated softwares might be needed. You can also consider our RH Series cameras for your own private CCTV system if you want top notch performance and reliability. If you are looking for high quality IP cameras for residential market, take a look at our RK Series.
The cameras in this RH series guarantee the highest video quality. You can choose from 1MP to 12MP video resolution. The 1MP resolution, also called 720p (1280x720 pixels), is good for close-up monitoring. The 2MP resolution, also called 1080P or Full HD (1920x1080 pixels), is the current standard of high resolution digital TV and meets the needs of average security systems. If you can dedicate a slightly higher budget, consider the 4MP and 5 MP models, which allow greater sharpness when recording distant subjects and more details in close-ups. This range also includes 8MP (4K) cameras that are suitable for high-level applications where the recongition of the smallest details is required. To best manage your cameras we recommend using one of our RK Series NVR video recorders. When designing your system you can use cameras with different resolutions based on the importance of the monitored area. Here on the side you can download short demo movies in the most common resolutions.
You can buy your IP products from us with confidence. DSE is one of the few companies in Italy to be a member of the ONVIF international association, which includes all the main IP security manufacturers and promote standardized interfaces for effective interoperability of IP-based security products. The cameras in this range support H264 H265 video compression, including the latest upgrades, in order to combine high quality video stream and low bandwidth consumption. These cameras can manage 3 VIDEO STREAMING with different compression and resolution, that you can choose from the client device. The frame rate is also adjustable up to 25 frames / second (real-time). Choose the well-established H264 format for maximum compatibility with all NVRs, or use the latest H265 to increase the video storage capacity and minimize the bandwidth. Here on the side you can download two similar clips in H264 and H265 format: please note the different file size.
All cameras in this range, except the mini pinhole cameras, support POE power supply via the network cable (IEEE 802.3af Class 3). To make them work, all you have to do is connect a POE switch or a POE NVR using standard, 8 cores, UTP cable. POE power supply supports up to 100 meters cabling in normal conditions. If for some reason you can not use POE power, all cameras also have a local power jack that you can connect to a 12VDC adapter. In this picture you can see the connection cable of the cameras, with the RJ45 network plug and the 12V auxiliary power connector.
To be able to work in total darkness, these cameras are equipped with infrared LEDs that provide invisible night illumination UP TO 50 METERS depending on the model. Thanks to Smart IR technology, the LED power adapts automatically to the subject distance avoiding overexposure on closed targets. The cameras in this range come with high performance LED PIRANHA SUPERFLUX LEDs that provide a high illuminating power while maintaining a relatively low energy consumption. The LEDs turn on automatically below 10 lux. In night mode the camera works in Black White thanks to an ICR mechanism (Infrared Cut-Filter Removable). If you want, you can set the camera to work only in color mode, excluding the infrared night function.
All our RH IP cameras fully support HTTPS encrypted communication protocol that is highly recommended for high-risk CCTV systems. you may need to use https protocol, instead of ordinary http, in many application fields like banking or public security.
The RH Series IP cameras come with a full pack of advanced features. With an Internet browser you can change the options to adapt the camera to your needs. You can adjust the image and rotate it, with the MIRROR function, in order to adapt the framing to the area to be monitored. The WIDE DYNAMIC RANGE (WDR) function is useful if you monitor bright areas together with darker areas. With the BLC you can enhance dark subject on a bright background. The ANTIFOG, HLC and DIGITAL NOISE REDUCTION functions allow you to face difficult monitoring conditions with poor visibility.
This range of cameras includes some STARLIGHT models, based on the SONY STARVIS™ back-illuminated CMOS sensor. Starlight cameras are designed to produce clear full color video at night, taking advantage of every minimal natural light source. Starlight PTZ cameras are highly recommended when monitoring large outdoor areas which are too vast for IR illuminators.
These RH series cameras include advanced digital video analysis features that allows you to detect unusual situations that occur within the camera's field of view. This Intelligent Video Analysis function, is a high-tech feature, designed for advanced security systems, however it can be also very useful for ordinary CCTV systems, to detect suspicious actions. Several kinds of detection are available to suit the security need of shops, companies and public monitoring. Each of these video analysis functions can be individually configured and enabled-disabled according to the time and date. When a suspicious event is detected, the cameras start recording, activate alarm output for local warning, and send out email or FTP upload. It is also possible to send out alarm signals to the HRC monitoring software included or to any alarm management platforms supporting the ONVIF Videoanalytics Service Spec.V220 standard.
Upon request we provide developers with all the information needed to implement the Intelligent Video Analysis functions in their own software.

The cameras in this RH range have a fixed lens or a motorized zoom, depending on the model. Small cameras, up to 20 m. IR, come with 3.6 mm FIXED LENS for close-up monitoring. This lens provides a wide-angle view of about 70°, optimal for short distance. Models with IR illumination over 20 m come with an adjustable lens that allows you to adjust the angle of view to best suit the area to be monitored. Most of the cameras include MOTORIZED ZOOM that can be adjusted from remote, via computer, NVR, or even mobile phones. These motorized versions also feature AUTOFOCUS , which saves you a lot of valuable time when installing the cameras. We recommend using motorized zoom cameras all the time you install cameras in hard-to-reach places. The minicameras for hidden surveillance come with a 3.6 mm FIXED PINHOLE wide-angle lens, perfect for hiding behind a tiny hole.
All cameras in this RH range are waterproof, with IP66 protection degree. You can place them both inside or outside, under the rain. We do not use cheap plastic enclosures for our IP cameras, but only robust fire-painted die-cast aluminum casings. Therefore, you can set these cameras up anywhere, without worrying about outdoor temperature and corrosion. In addition, RH-DCC1 ... dome models provide IK10 anti-vandal resistance and can be installed in high-risk areas without the worry of the camera being damaged by shocks or tampering attempts.
Many cameras in this range come with 1 or 2 alarm inputs for the connection of sensors, detectors, switches and other contacts that can generate automatic alarm actions. This makes these cameras perfect for automated industrial systems. These cameras also have an alarm output for the connection of devices to be activated in the event of an alarm, such as sirens or indicating lights. These alarm outputs are particularly useful in video analysis applications, to warn of unusual events. Here on the side is the connection cable of a full feature RH camera.

The cameras of this RH series, like all our IP cameras, can be used with network video recorders, also called NVR. These cameras are compatible with all NVR on the market that support the Onvif protocol. If you are building a brand new system we recommend our RK Series NVRs, for perfect compatibility.
If you are using our RH series cameras for a residential system, buying an NVR is recommended, because it makes Internet connection easier with its P2P cloud server. Being designed for high security installations these RH cameras do not support P2P cloud server.
Almost all cameras in this series have a built-in microSD card slot. You can insert a micro SD memory up to 128GB and record videos directly on the camera. You can record in case of alarm or even continuously on the base of a time scheduler. When the camera runs out of memory space, it will automatically start overwriting the oldest files. The SD MEMORY turns these IP cameras into a independent video surveillance systems capable of recording even without a network video recorder. We recommend you still use the SD card, even if you have an NVR, because it record in every condition, even if the network is disconnected because of a failure or sabotage.
You can use a computer to monitor and record our IP cameras. You do not have to buy anything, just download our free VMS software suitable for all our IP cameras. You can install it on as many computers as you want and use it freely, either as a main video recorder, or as an additional control unit. There is also a more specific software, only for these RH Series cameras, which allows more control on all features: it is our free RHC software . In addition to monitoring, this software allows you to change the camera options and assign IP addresses during installation.
DOWNLOAD VMS DOWNLOAD RHCAll cameras in this range allow you to record on an external NAS. A Network Attached Storage (NAS) is a network device that holds one or more hard drives. You can record your videos on a remote NAS just in case of alarm or continuously, on the base of a time scheduler. When the memory is full, the automatic overwriting of the oldest files is normally set. Recording on external HDD allows you to achieve high video storage capacity and store your video files on a common network resource, ready to be shared with other applications.
The RH Series cameras are designed for high-tech applications where software interaction with other equipment is often required. We provide developers with free SDK libraries and APIs to control all functionalities of the cameras with their own software.
